Visly has been building a design tool aimed at React Front-end developers. Visly enables developers and designers to collaborate and create high quality react components that can be directly imported into code using tools developers are already used to.
Most of the existing tools don’t take into account how designs will be translated to code. Concepts such as props, state, and user interactions are core to the design process and ensure high-quality code can be automatically generated.
For around a year, Visly was used internally and selectively shared. Not long ago, many designers and developers have been using a pre-release.
With Visly, the developers and designers can collaborate in the same tool and deliver products together. Most importantly, it doesn’t dismiss code — the team at Visly think code is still the best tool out there. Its components work seamlessly with code, and can be used with existing front-end infrastructures such as Next.js and Gatsby.
Visly is built in Visly
Visly already has a good start and announces that their entire UI is built in Visly itself.
What to expect in the future from Visly
Over the next 6-12 months, Visly will be adding support for React Native & Vue.js, dark mode, responsive design, and much more. They have a lot of focus on Designers as well, as they announced that they will be adding Figma integrations, visual version control and much more.
